Prem Rawat: Words of Peace, Searching for Peace

This is a short 25 minute compilation of 4 "best of" sections of Rawat's speeches though it seems slanted more towards the "true believers" than to attract new people. It has some tone deaf moments. After all, isn't he doing exactly what he criticises? Isn't he one of the people trying to tell you what it is that you're looking for? Isn't he spending large amounts of money putting his message on TV, newspapers? the internet? Isn't he trying to get people to buy what he's selling?

Any reasonable human being understands that peaks of excitement and joy will lessen over time. It's like going to a Prem Rawat event. That happiness that you experienced from Rawat's speech, will fizzle out and you will not maintain your high until the next 'event.' Premies are caught on a treadmill.

If you have confusion, problems, turmoil in your life. You look for peace and if you're confused and desperate enough you might even try Prem Rawat's Knowledge.

He shouts about real truth, real love, real happpiness in a charmless, loveless, unattractive voice devoid of the very qualities of which he talks

here's the good news. There is a love that is not subject to all of this conditionality. Maharaji preaches the fantasy of love without conditions, ie the love between the Master and the premies, the love of an imaginary friend

He creates a fantasy where peace is searching for you in the world of your heart. A world with straight streets and straight roads where peace searches for you like in Pacman. Naturally he also throws in a sneer at people who "search" but do not recognise him as the only Master of peace and pleasantry

This is the only message that talks about: peace begins in the heart of each person

Prem Rawat: Words of Peace, Searching for Peace

Prem Rawat Searching For Peace

After many years this chance again to come here and to talk about really the same thing because all of us in this world, we're looking for something. We want to know. We want to find out. Some people think what we're looking for is something old. So they search in the old. They search in the antique. That gives it credibility to them if it is something old but they're still searching. Some people, they think what they're looking for they will find in the new. So they look for it in the new. They look for it in technology. A new inventions. New things. Some people think, it must be out in the outer space. So they search for it there. Some people think it's in India. (laughter) So they you go to India and they search. Some people think what they are looking for, they will find it, in a very quiet place. No distractions. No challenges. So, they make a monastery and they look for it there. But in all this looking, one, they are searching for something. Something. Isn't that fascinating? Don't start to already in your mind figure out what it is that they are looking for. Don't, don't do that yet. But just try to understand that we are looking for something. We need something. We want something.

See there's the problem. The whole world is ready to tell you what it is that you're looking for. Big billboards. Big advertisement. Buy this. And if you buy this you will have what you're looking for. This is not a mistake. This is a science. Millions and millions and in fact billions of dollars are spent to entice you because all these people they know, you are looking for something and they can beat you and they can reach you by putting that message on the radio. They can reach you by putting that message on the TV. They can reach you by putting that message in the newspaper. They can reach you by putting that message on a billboard because you they know you are looking for something.

Now, what is it? What are we looking for? So, some people say to be successful. Some people say peace. Some people say love. Some people say tranquillity. Some people say enlightenment. So what are we looking for? Why? If it is the same thing that we are all looking for. Why does it have so many names? Why does it have so many names? Because it is a t(h)irst that we have. We don't know what it is that we need. If you are hungry, you need food. Not water. If you're thirsty, you need water. Not food. If you feel that you need love in your life. You're going to be looking for love. If you have confusion, problems, turmoil in your life. You look for peace.

Peace is Searching For You

Prem Rawat Searching For Peace

We know that we search for peace but what if I were to tell you that the peace is searching for you. We search for tranquillity. And what if I were to tell you? That very actively, tranquillity is searching for you. Not in this outside world. This outside world. It's very neutral. You can create chaos and it'll be there and you can try to create nice scenery and it'll be there. But as this world has streets and avenues, within you, in the world of your heart, there are also avenues. There are also streets and through these streets, through these avenues, actively, peace, tranquillity, joy and all those wonderful things, love, they're searching for you. They want to find you. They know that you look, you search for them. You didn't know, that they are searching for you. And in this world it's not complicated. The avenues are rather straight. The roads are rather straight. The roads are built for one and one purpose only. To give you access to where you want to go. So they don't sit there and meander, they don't sit there and go up and down and they don't go through crossings and they don't go through all the stuff. It's simple.

But how will they find you? When you always moving around. When you're darting off, sometimes left, sometimes right. It's like playing the game where the two keep missing each other. Like a string of a guitar, it needs to be tightened and it needs to be loosened. No. But the mystery doesn't lie in tightening and the mystery does not lie in loosening. All the mystery lies in it, in that string being able to produce the note that is desired. You see the player twist the key. Then you think that's it? Tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen. No, that is merely a mundane action. The miracle, is this guy is listening to this note and going. Yeah, it's getting closer and closer and closer and that's it. It's correct. That! That's the mystery. That's the miracle. That's the magic. The magic in this life is to really understand "Wow. Peace is looking for me.

REAL PEACE

Prem Rawat Searching For Peace

In Vancouver, I was talking about the nature of happiness. There is one happiness that by nature will fizzle out. It will. Like a party. People come and "Now you're here. Oh, man. I haven't seen you, how are you?. Good to see you. How do you doing? Da da dada." You know in the parties people say that to everybody "Oh, so good to see you. So good." How good can it be? You don't even know this person. (laughter) Everybody going around "I'm pleased to see" How? You don't look awfully pleased. "It was good to meet you." Everybody is saying that to everybody. You mean in this entire party you haven't come across anybody that you aren't all that pleased to see. Now, statistically, what are the chances of that? You know, and you see people in one corner. Obviously they're trying to avoid everybody else. But if somebody comes from the other side "I'm so glad to see you. So pleased to see you, Oh, nice to see you. Oh, so glad you could come." But then the party is going to be over. That happiness that you experienced from the party, by nature, will sizzle out. That's how it is.

There is peace two, that has different nature. You're fighting with your neighbour. You're fighting with your neighbour. You're fighting with your neighbour. You're fighting with your neighbour. You're fighting with your neighbour. One day, you know, the neighbour's car won't start, so you say to him, "You know, let me help you." And you do. And the fighting ends and you have peace. How long? It's gonna start again. People say "World Peace." People don't understand which peace they're talking about. Because the peace that they think they want in this world can only happen if every single human being was merely a duplicate of one person. Meaning everybody liked the same thing. Did the same thing. Then we would be fine. No conflict. No conflict. Mean all the highways wouldn't have to be two way. It could be one way because everybody would do the same thing. But when you have all the differences. Some are gonna rub and that peace is gonna come and go. Come and go. Come and go. Come and go. Come and go. Come and go.

Love have different natures too. You say to your wife "You know. Can you get me a cup of tea, please?" And every day she's been getting a cup of tea. One day she said "Get it yourself. Why do you have to ask me? What do you think I am? Your servant? Get it yourself. And while you're getting it bring me a cup." I don't know, you know, the love might get rocky if that keeps on happening. The love might get a little on the rocky side. But here's the good news.

There is a love that is not subject to all of this because it has nothing to do with the cup of tea. It has nothing to do with an etiquette of this world. There is a peace inside every human being that is not subject to the similarities or differences of human beings. And that is why what is being said here is a reminder to you that this is what you have within you, that this is the possibility that exists within inside of you and you should settle for nothing less.

Prem Rawat Searching For Peace

Go for the real stuff, not imitation peace and that if you're going to have love in your life, then go for the real love and if you are going to have truth in your life, go for the real truth. If you're going to have happiness in your life, go for the real stuff. Don't settle for anything less.

PEACE BEGINS IN THE HEART

Prem Rawat Searching For Peace

The message really. You know, here is the message that really addresses peace. This is the only message that talks about: peace begins in the heart of each person. (applause) The world thinks the peace is when the wars end. That would be a nice consequence. That would be a nice consequence. When you cook food and your house smells nice that's a, that is a bonus. But don't expect your house to smell of good food when you're burning it in the kitchen, cause it's not. Peace begins in the heart of each person, not societies, not countries, not nations, each person and it is there that lies the beauty, that lies the joy. Can there be peace? Yes, there can be peace. Of course there can be peace. Don't doubt that. But at least know that it begins in the heart of each person.
