RESERVATION FEE

A reservation processing fee of $25.00 per person is requested, but not mandatory. Reservations will also be available to those unable to cover the processing free. Credit card payments will be accepted with Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and Discover cards.

TRANSLATION

Translation will be available at the event in the following languages: French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Slovene, Spanish, & Tamil. Other languages may be provided if requested in advance. It is important to reserve your translation headphones at the time you make your seat reservation so a sufficient number of headphones can be ordered. A translation rental fee of $35.00 is requested for the three-day event.

REMINDERS

In order to create a safe and comfortable environment, there are certain policies that apply to each event.

i) Children 9 years of age and older are welcome to attend the event if they have a genuine interest and can remain focused. Note: Childcare will not be available on site.

2) No cameras, tape recorders or video equipment are permitted. All material at the event is copyrighted. Only one company is legally authorized to record or take pictures at the event.

3) All briefcases, backpacks, large bags and luggage must be checked at the event (or preferably left in your hotel or the trunk of your car.) This is a fire regulation and is strictly enforced by the Fire Marshall. He has the right at any time to delay or cancel the event if he feels we are in violation of fire codes. Large items taken to your seats are considered obstacles in an emergency evacuation.

4) No one who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or who is causing a disturbance will be admitted. This is not only the policy of the venue, but is also to ensure the focus of the environment and everyone's safety.

SAFETY

Because most Elan Vital events take place in downtown areas, it is wise to be alert and to take certain precautions.

1. Walk with another person whenever possible.
   
   
2. Cross streets only at intersections and crosswalks.
   
   
3. Do not walk alone at night. Women are advised to walk in groups of three or more. Use only main streets that are well-lit.
   
   
4. Women, in particular, are advised not to accept rides from strangers.
   
   
5. Take care of valuables. Protect yourself from pickpockets.
   • Use the safe deposit facility at your hotel.
   • Keep wallets, credit cards and passports in a secure inner pocket.
   • Carry your purses and bags in such a way that they cannot be easily snatched.
     
     
6. When renting a car, ask the rental company for a copy of their visitor safety guidelines. Do not leave valuables visible in your car. Place them in the trunk or out of sight.

SHUTTLE TO AND FROM LOS ANGELES AIRPORT

SuperShuttle offers door-to-door ground transportation between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Long Beach area hotels. The shuttles run 24 hours a day and rates are $13 per person each way. SuperShuttle will fax or mail you a discount coupon of $2 off each way when you reserve in advance and mention that you are attending the Elan Vital event. SHUTTLE SERVICE IN LONG BEACH

The City of Long Beach operates a convenient free shuttle service throughout the downtown area. Shuttles run frequently and stop near many local restaurants. A shuttle map and restaurant guide will be available at the information table at the event.
