Dear S. - Hi -
RE: Learning More innovation on the Gold Coast
Statistics: (individuals not visits)
Aspirants:
Guests:
People without K attending LM: (new format began in June supported with special brochure etc.)
People with K attending LM:
These attendances are consistent with any type of video event - the numbers certainly do not fall off because of it being a LM event.
Each LM program would attract an average of 20 PWK's.
(f) - as for statistics for aspirants.
General information:
The LM innovation has been a positive link between intro and asp. Events. We have used brochures for a couple of years, (beginning back with the 'themes' brochures). The simplicity/ and explicit presentation of details (three panels) in the LM brochures has been effective.
The specific videos being provided for LM events are great to screen - they certainly provide a vital link in the chain.
Educating the "community": Presented at a core team meeting at end of April with Kaye. (Kaye visited with photocopy of Irish brochure). Everyone was most supportive; we developed and planned out the events and introduced the brochure through the (next) planning meeting in May. (The minutes from that meeting informed the whole community of the new innovation and explained its background). The new format meant that we moved from having weekly intro events to having one per month with two LM programs to support the intro. This same structure is still in place some months later. We have found having approx. one intro per month and the two LM also in a month has been more effective (always speaking of current situation) than several intro events each month. (There has always been a special aspirant program in place, so this was easily blended into the above.)
The new MC's scripts were received and everyone made an effort to learn them and stick to them. We were lucky enough to attend further MC training at Amaroo with Ira a couple of months later. This added good polishing to the sincere efforts already being made by the MC's. The attempt to be accurate in the presentation of the script continues to also educate the audience as we go along.
Introducing people to K outside the organised events: This happens a lot. After an informal introduction via a friend with a video at home etc, many of these new people arrive at the intro and LM events with the friend who is the aspirant or PWK. (We also have available credit card sized intro. cards that give details of the next intro. event.) Generally there is a good level of persistent and ongoing effort happening regarding introducing people to K and M.
The enthusiasm in the community for the current format of the special intro. event supported by two learning more events within each month remains very high. We are happy with this current innovation and feel that the quality of the events is being sustained (But are forever trying to be on our toes and remain diligent).
Life is sweet.
Hope the above helps.
Kind regards,
A. (On behalf of several people.)
